5 Really Great things about Google Analytics

Those of you who have me handle your websites know that I’m an absolutely huge fan of Google Analytics, but it’s not just because I’m a huge fan of Google…the analytics setup itself is amazing.

1.) Quick and Easy to get going

Once you sign in - all you have to do is create a new profile, copy and paste the code, and you’re set. It gets going quickly - no tedious installs, and it’s really simple.

2.) The Dashboard

One of the most annoying things about most stats programs is the overview once you login (or lack thereof). With Google Analytics, you login and the dashboard is drawn out with everything you need. If you’re picky, like me, or want to organize the most important stats for your clients - customizing the dashboard is just a click away. I like customization, it makes it easier for everyone.

3.) Adwords fit right in

I do a lot of Adwords campaigns for my clients and myself. I want to know which keywords are the best, how they’re working, and where my goals are converting. Google Analytics allows me to setup goals for each of my sites to track conversion rate. With Google I can pull my best keywords right into my analytics campaigns.

4.) Geotargeting

CelTrust works a lot with Local Companies and targeting specialized areas. It’s really important to know exactly where your users are from, and what keywords they used to find your site. As I mentioned in my post on Local marketing, Google really has the local company at it’s interest. I can break down where users are coming from to the city!

5.) Email Reports

It’s really a hassle having 300 different logins to have to manage each day - and especially when it comes down to analytics. Sometimes I just want to know whats on my Dashboard, and that’s it.. With Google Analytics, you can schedule free email reports to be delivered daily, weekly, monthly, etcetera. It sends you over a nice pdf (xml, csv, or tsv) in your email for your convenient viewing.
