Vista-Fails and Security

Vista Security seems to be on a lot of minds, including mine and really..? Is Vista that annoying? Personally I’d pick Linux, and I guess XP (user friendliness folks) over Vista. But to be honest I haven’t had that much time to really check Vista out. Maybe in the future.
- First I’d like to point out that A while ago Ryan Groom made a little post about Vista’s security-and he’s absolutely right: Vista security isn’t actually all that bad. Personally I think it is just a pain.
- Second I’ve also heard/seen for myself that most of windows Vista is a pain anyways and sometimes it is virtually impossible to get work done. I hear reports of printers, mice & keyboards, soundcards, video cards, and even some LCD monitors not working correctly on Windows Vista. Maybe some one should have thought twice before letting Bill turn his retirement project into the kinda/sorta “Great Depression” of Microsoft. Soon maybe comparable to the fall of the Roman Empire. Yes I know you can attribute some cases of not-so-Vista-compatible hardware to manufacturers not creating drivers; But hell I’ve had experience figuring out that some ‘Vista Drivers’ aren’t the problem. ‘Vista’ is.
Back to Security-It is there for a reason: To protect users. It is annoying: Good luck turning it off. So maybe all you need is a little XP SP3 ![]()
